School and Sports Physicals

Do you or your child need a camp, school, or sports physical exam? Schedule an appointment with us or just walk in—we will take care of you! These exams help to make sure you or your child are ready and able to participate in sports or other physical activities. We want you to get out there and play, but we also want to make sure you reduce the risk of injury.

Common injuries and their symptoms include:

  • Concussion: Watch out for dizziness, headaches, and lightheadedness. These may be signs that a concussion has occurred.
  • Shoulder dislocation, fracture, or tearing: If normal use and movement of your shoulder causes you pain or numbness, you may have a more serious condition than typical muscle soreness from intense activity.
  • Knee injury: Swelling or sudden and sharp/stabbing knee pain may indicate knee injury.
  • Ankle injury: Swelling or sudden and sharp/stabbing ankle pain may indicate ankle injury. We can perform X-rays on-site to determine whether a fracture has occurred.

At a physical, you can expect to answer questions about your medical history, and then to have an examination of:

  • Vitals: height, weight, heart rate, blood pressure
  • Ears, nose, and throat
  • Heart, lungs, and abdomen
  • Vision
  • Posture and joints
  • Strength and flexibility
